I've been working on one of these for a while now, and I plan on shooting the footage for the next project soon. This post will serve as an update on my STEEM-FU short film and also as an opportunity for you to help with the narration for the SOCIAL MEDIA WASTELAND short. A lot of the video animation skills I've been picking up and working on have been practice to help prepare me to finish the STEEM-FU movie.
STEEM-FU : THE WAY OF THE STEEM
I originally had this idea and shot the footage for it over a year ago. The goal is to put put a STEEM-based Kung Fu movie featuring 
While I had originally hoped to have the first segment out last year, my editing skills and capabilities were not where they needed to be, and it got pushed to the back burner. I'm back at it now, though, and I'll see if I can put the first episode out in the near future.
If you want to see what I did to get in character for this one, you can click here. Also, I’m not trying to poke fun at any culture or people group, I’m just making a Kung-Fu movie along the same lines as others before me, and using similar themes and looks to pull off a more authentic feel.
SOCIAL MEDIA WASTELAND
I have a rare opportunity in my location for shooting some amazing footage. An old town was flooded out years ago to allow for the creation of a lake. Part of the year the old town is under water and the other part of the year it is exposed. What can be seen when the water level is low is a barren, desolate wasteland. I thought that it would serve well as a way to represent how social media used to be.
The goal is to film am apocalyptic short as a type of promo video for steemit. I've got a lot of the props and wardrobe ready to go, and I know all of the basic scenes that I want to shoot. Below I will share the general text for the narration. While I have a certain goal and specific way that I want to present this, I'm also willing to take suggestions and possibly include some other sentences or things that people may suggest.
I've been on steemit long enough to know that we can often create much better things together than we could ever do on our own, so if you have anything that you think would fit with what I share below, please let me know in the comment section below.
