Adam was a collector of rare artifacts, and he often traveled the world in search of new and interesting pieces. On one of these trips, he stumbled upon a mysterious old trader in a faraway land. The trader had a small shop full of strange and fascinating objects, and among them was a dusty old book with a lock on it.
The trader told Adam that the book was from an ancient civilization that was defeated in a war long ago. He said that the winner of the war writes the history books, and so there was no information on this ancient book. Adam was intrigued, and he decided to trade a rare item from his own collection for the book.
Adam brought the book back to America with him, but he was unable to open it. He tried all sorts of tools, but nothing seemed to work. Finally, in a fit of frustration, he tried to open the lock with his bare hands. Miraculously, it opened.
Adam opened the book and began to read. As he read, he realized that it was a story of his own life. When he got to chapter 45 - which was also his age - he read about his travels to get the book. He was amazed.
The final scene cut to Adam slamming the book shut. He had no idea how many chapters the book contained, or what secrets it may have held. What else was in this ancient book? It would remain a mystery.
