Notice, every time the same, one is trying to invent a cure for a terrible disease, another is trying to spit on patients, he just wants to make money, but someone’s third is paying for their impulses and it seems that no one wins in this situation.
Absolutely amazing movie. By the way, not having any links with the creation of Tim Burton a decade ago. About how we are losing our planet to creatures - in this case - much more decent, selfless and noble than we are, and at the same time, sitting in a cinema chair, cheer for them, the new People.
It seems to be a spectacular blockbuster, yes, but at the same time, it raises serious ethical problems and enables thinking people to look and evaluate themselves from the outside and really experience and feel the drama shown on the screen. Do we, humans, have the right to interfere in the designs of nature? Why do we so often spoil everything we touch? Finally, how can we be so senseless at all cruel - in every sense?
The main characters in the picture are monkeys headed by a sort of Spartacus primates - Caesar. And he is a completely wonderful character who simultaneously moves to tears, scares to goosebumps and delights in insane.
As for the human heroes, only Franco, who played the beloved “father” who actually created him, raised him and kept him for years, had an adequate role of a monkey in the film. And to whom Caesar did not forgive unwitting (and undeserved) treachery, but, nevertheless, did not cease to love. Franco played well.
Masters of special effects and computer graphics are a separate bravo - in my opinion, they have done an excellent job. Like the director Rupert Wyatt, who clearly took on this project with an indestructible fervor, which is felt when watching.
The film has a clear goal to remind people once again that they are not alone on this planet, that you should not call yourself the owner of the Earth, otherwise, once a person achieves that nature will go against him.
