We have now come to part 13 of GOOD horror movies that you must see, im writing this so you dont have to look long for finding good ones, and dont have to watch 10 bad to find that 1 good, and sadly we are soon comming to an end, because there are many good ones left to recommend.
In these blogs I write about the GOOD Horror movies that you simply must see if you like to get a little scare.
The recommended one today is: LIGHTS OUT
IMDB:
Gives this a score of 6.4 / 10 which is decent for a horror movie, I think the score on this movie should be at least 7.4 considering the genrer, budget and the outcome of the movie.
ROTTEN TOMATOES:
The audience and critics almost agrees on Lights Out, by scoring 76% / 62% they do both agree that it is on the upside, and not a crappy horror movie.
GENRER:
Horror
RELEASE:
The movie Lights Out is from 2016 and had a budget of less than $5.000.000, this might make it sound like a B movie but it did make $21.000.000 on opening weekend. The stars of this movie is Teresa Palmer, Maria Bello and Billy Burke. The most known of theese actors must be Billy Burke from the tv-series Revolution and the movie Twilight. Maria Bello is also seen in movies like most recent film Max Steel, and alot more.

This movie shines with good performances, the settings with alot of dark scenes in Lights out is very very good. This is a movie that keeps you curious and has some very creepy moments like horror movies should have. By using a possible disease as a prime factor it makes it alot more considerable and frightening, especially if you have been around similar types of diseases.
PLOT:
Lights Out centeres upon the young boy Martin who lives alone with their mother after the father passed away, starts noticing strange things about his mother, (like talking to an imaginary woman named Diana) and she always talks to her in the dark. It gets stranger and stranger and Martin no longer can sleep at night, and this makes his older step sister Rebecca be with Martin because of social services, and together they will uncover that something is not right about their mother. Another thing I liked about this movie, was that it wasnt as predictable as many horror movies tend to be, and by keeping an open mind and not knowing much about it made it worth adding as a must see horror movie.
TRAILER:
As always I do not recommend watching trailers for horror movies, as they spoil to much of the twists in the movie, and there is no exception with Lights Out, however the trailer isn't that much spoiling here compared to others, but it is as always your own decission, Dont watch the trailer!
This is deffinently 1 to watch for the horror genrer.
