Which one comes first? Egg or the Chicken?
It's the kind of question that I keep asking myself after I watched the movie "In the Shadow of the Moon". I had this same thought when I first watched the Interstellar movie. Although, Interstellar has the better presentation when it comes to the time-traveling aspect of the movie; I must say that the story of In the Shadow of the Moon has some long-lasting effects as well.
Something ignited in the back of my mind as I get closer to the last part of the movie. It was a blend of sadness, joy, and or euphoria.
It's a clever plot!
I just wished that they have enough budget and time to think about the minor details in the movie that could have made it even more convincing.
Let me give you a glimpse, the future is phasing backward while the present is happening as usual; forward. I could be wrong to think about it this way but it's the simplest way to put it in words. That's the mind-bending part of the movie, it will make sense at the end of the movie ;)
The sad aspect of the movie is that there are a lot of sacrifices that the main characters went through that left me a feeling of regret for their part.
If only they knew what's really happening.
If only there is a way for the future to make the past and present understand what has to be done to make things better in the future.
If I got you interested in this movie, here's the official trailer to get some glimpse of it:
Note: The "sci-fi" aspect of the movie is not as much as the story that revolves around the main character. You won't get bored with the science thing.
