Is Being Immortal worth it?
This is a slight tangent and almost a reboot of the Wolverine character running along side the the X-Men series. The movie is directed well enough, although there are a few too many flash backs and I suspect the Japanese overlay may have gotten a few movie goers off side.
Hugh Jackman delivers the performance you would expect from such a talented actor, granted it should almost be second nature to him given how many times he has played the character.
In short if you like the X-men, or Wolverine you will enjoy this, yes it does have some flaws but it is still worth seeing.
This chapter starts back in the second world war when Logan saves a Japanese soldier, fast forward to modern day and we have Logan that is tired and has lived long enough. Enter the Japanese soldier that he saved so many years earlier who claims he knows how to kill Logan.
Like so many things not everything is at it seems, Logan is caught up in a battle between the yakuza and mutants. Yes, his "friend" does know how to kill him, but will take Logan's healing powers first so that he can become immortal and lead his family forever.
Logan's healing powers have somehow been naturalized, yet he must still fight and overcome his enemies all without healing like he is used to. Can he prevail and overcome those that would either kill him or use his powers for their own gain?
