Hey gang,
Thanks for everyone that participated in my this post of mine. We eneded up watching The Neverending Story and turns out my daughter kind of liked it. Haha.
We almost didn't get through it because my daughter had a near-meltdown when this guy showed up in the first 5 minutes.
She was so frightened of him and was making appeals to watch another movie. We had a chat about whether or not she actually was afraid, or was just using this weird guy to watch another movie of her choice (rather than mine).
Turns out she wasn't really afraid of him at all and watched the rest of the movie without issue. She asked a lot of questions, which I love, and after the movie was over couldn't help herself from singing the Giorgio Moroder title theme.
My wife, who had never seen it either (how is this possible?!) was way less impressed by it. But hey, can't please everyone!
My daughter was also in love with the idea that this kid's name was Bastian. Because in her mind Bastion is a totally different thing entirely.
