Hello Steemit! Most of all like to watch movies, right? Well, there are some movies that pretty much have predicted the future events. In this post, i'll be talking about movies, that managed to predict the future!
4. Poltergeist (1982)
Predicted: The death of Heather O'Rourke
Heather O'Rourke played the young girl, Carol Anne in the movie Poltergeist. Tragically, this little actress died of a septic shock at the age of 12.
The strangest thing about this film is that on the wall of Carol's brothers bedroom is a poster of the 1988 Superbowl Cup Final. It's a little weird, because the movie itself was taken in 1982.
The 1988 Superbowl Cup Final was played on January 31, 1988 in San Diego. On the same day, in San Diego, Heather fell ill. The next morning, she lost consciousness and was taken to a hospital where she died. It is a coincidence, but a very sad coincidence.
3. Above Suspicion (1995)
Predicted: The paralysis of Christopher Reeve
In the 1995 film Above Suspicion, actor Christopher Reeve played as a policeman who was shot in the back and paralyzed. Then, just six days after the premiere of the film on May 21, 1995, Reeee fell off a horse and got paralyzed in real life.
2. Demolition Man (1993)
Predicted: A future serial killers name
The movie Demolition Man had a number of futuristic elements that have not appeared in real life, but there were some things that the film managed to foresee. The first and most infamous prediction was the name of Scott Peterson - this Californian man brutally murdered his wife and her unborn baby in 2002. The screen in the movie shows Scott Peterson's name on the list of Los Angeles convicts. Because of the double murder, Peter received a death sentence. The film was released 9 years before the killings.
The second prediction in this movie was that Arnold Schwarzenegger would become president. This prediction was only partially fulfilled, as he did not become president; however, he became the governor of California.
1. Super Mario Bros. (1993)
Predicted: 9/11
When the Super Mario Bros. movie came out in 1993, all people were hating on it. Today, 25 years later, nothing has changed. However, in this film, there is a scene that has caused quite of discussion. At the end of the film, when Koopa's world and the planet Earth collide with each other, something shocking happens. When people look at the towers of the World Trade Center, they simply start to fade, but the way it is happening is the most frightening one.
The two towers go dark, the South Tower starts to crumble , and a huge hole is created in the North Tower. This is a terrifying resemblance to how both towers were destroyed on September 11, 2001, eight years after the Super Mario Bros. movie release.
