Watched F1 and It was a great experience. The movie has a basic plot and is predictable but the car racing scenes are absolutely amazing. I thought Brad Pitt did a great job and other performances were fantastic too. The score of the movie was wonderful. I also thought unlike past car racing movies, this movie doesn't really have a central antagonist. I also didn't know that two drivers from the same company would be racing. I read that many real F1 drivers made a cameo in the movie but I only could recognise Lewis Hamilton at the end. A very accurate experiential film. But they could have shown more details. The racing is great but i can get that while watching a regular f1 race. They should have shown more of what happens behind the paddocks like Ford v Ferrari. I remember when reading about the F1 movie in articles I believe back in 2023, although I did admit, I actually did have my doubts about it, but when I saw the teaser trailer back in 2024, I was immediately hyped.
I swear the stress was so real when I watched it , especially the final race! Never felt so locked in any movie before, but I guess The F1 Movie takes the cake.
The plot was the weakest aspect of the film, but I respect the writers for their ideas when it came to using safety cars and red flags. The cinematography was great and I think it delivers on trying to place the audience inside the car. This is a movie meant to be seen at theatres, loved it.
