I am going to start by saying I'm not a huge Seth Rogen fan, I don't dislike him either just not as big of a fan as most.
Long Shot was a fun movie, it wasn't on my list of movies to watch but the wife picked it and it turned out alright. It's not a movie I'd likely watch again though.
Seth what you might expect from Seth Rogen as a hot head reporter while Charlize Theron does an good job playing a well to do political rock star. Combine that with a decent script and you have a fun movie to enjoy with your significant other, or by yourself if that is your thing.
I had a lot of great laughs throughout the movie and enjoyed watching the awkward couple get to know each other. While I am sure you can guess how it ends, how it gets there is likely going to surprise you.
Long Shot is rated 6.9 out of 10 on IMDb, I'd say that is a little high and I would put it more as a 6/10 at best. High enough I'd tell a friend it was good, but not high enough I'd start suggesting people watch it.
If you are a Seth Rogen fan, you might like it even more than I did.
