Mute
Release Date: TBA 2018
Starring: Alexander Skarsgard, Justin Theroux, Sam Rockwell, Paul Rudd

One of the more interesting concepts on this list of the best upcoming sci-fi films is Mute, a sci-fi thriller from director Duncan Jones of Moon and Warcraft fame. The story is set in Berlin 40 years into the future, and it will follow a mute bartender that goes up against his city’s gangsters as he attempts to find out what happened to his missing partner. We don’t know much about what sort of sci-fi elements to expect, but the casting call lists names like Cactus Bill (Paul Rudd), Duck Teddington (Justin Theroux), and Sgt. Robert Klowskowski — so we can expect some interesting characters, for sure.
