My dear readers, of the steemit platform; I want to share with you a humble but very significant contribution..
On February 12, when Venezuela celebrates the day of youth; We were able to realize together with a group of boys that with much desire and effort we managed to fulfill our desire to be able to take an extra mile the load of our neighbor.
I remember that one afternoon, being near the place where I live, I observed with great pain, sadness and indignation; with respect to the circumstances that my country is going through; I noticed how a young boy of no more than 14 years of age, even with his school uniform on, broke a bag of garbage and from there he took something to put it in his mouth
That day I thought and shared with my wife that it was necessary to awaken from the lethargy in which we are immersed as citizens, that is enough to wait in the political systems and their actions, and that from what little you can have support these people in street situation.
This is how I am born in my heart, to be able to share the children of whom I am responsible in their development in different areas, and to win them to impart this dream.
That day with a group of brave men, we went out to give food to the needy, and maybe this will not solve the harsh situation they are living, but that shift of food, they will not eat it from the rubbish.
It was like that since early hours we began to work, some placing gas, others cutting vegetables, others preparing meat and several making arepas and then filling them. The arepa is like saying the daily bread of the Venezuelan, but every day it is more difficult to get it.
Now with many hours and dedication in addition to the sharing that can be given in the children, I remembered that in the history of the country a day like yesterday, February 12 some young people won a battle and took a step towards the development of a nation growing, and the same thought that the little grain of sand that each young person contributed was a giant step to obtain victory at some point.
In total they were made with hard work: 370 arepas stuffed with ground beef, and it was the most beautiful achievement we have made, the photos of joy and everything else began.
There we went out and shared that humble food at dinner time with the same number of people giving us an account that we were short, but we did it with love and dedication.
Of the delivery if I did not want to take photos because ethics did not seem fair but I confess that every time we do the heart is constricted and the tears you want to flow.
For reason of reflection I think we need to wake up as I said at the beginning and thank God for the things we have and in terms of the possibilities to be useful to those who due to their condition find it even more complex.
In the time of the Roman emperors, there was a law that said something like: "if a soldier saw a civilian and asked him to take his suitcases, he had to take it for a distance of a mile" until there was his obligation; but today we must give that extra mile to everyone who needs and is within our reach.
Thank God I give for providing daily sustenance to my family, and even more for having put in our hearts so valuable work.
Do not think only about the bad things of the day to day. Let's think about how to make those days different and blessing others
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God?Micah 6:8 (King James) Version
