Ok...so I know pretty much next to nothing when it comes to single cards from he hugely successful game, Magic the Gathering. I do however have an employee that is well versed in what could be tasty and what would be a substitute for toilet paper.
So when a customer popped in to sell a big box of Magic cards that have sat untouched for a couple of decades, I threw my guy right on it to browse through. Now most of the times, it’s a pile of near worthless dung. But today...the gaming card gods smiled down upon us.
The huge lot contained 8 x 800 count boxes, a binder with a few hundred cards, and some other boxed decks. He was able to quickly browse through and pull out some deliciousness....and we do mean deliciousness.

As we were plucking these gems, we quickly realized that this would be well beyond what I would be willing to spend....so we chose a different route. We are going to be doing a consignment on these so we will only make money once they sell. should be fairly handsome as some of these cards fetch $100-$600 a pop. Now obviously there are tons of factors to consider such as condition but overall, we should come away from this several grand richer and not having spent a buck.
I’ll be updating more as we actually delve into these thoroughly but for now, I’m smiling knowing that even if we didn’t find another worth card...this would be enough to cover for a nice vacation for the fam.
