I love getting the Spotify Unwrapped every year where Spotify tell you what special kind of weirdo I am and how many times I have listened to the one song. Spotify are getting better at this over the years and this year they have added your listenership age. Unfortunately and fortunately for me I am age 79 in this regard.
I do like my 60's music I have to say and I would have a Beatles album on on many occasions. Now we had a problem last year when my wifes music started encroaching on my Spotify account. The crooks of the matter was that we have Sonos set up throughout the house and the Sonos was on my account. Alexa works through these so when anyone asked to turn on a song then it was my Spotify account it was extracting from. So last year I could not attribute the Spotify unwrapped to me alone. It was kind of a mix and even my 9 year old who is becoming a K-pop head was starting to get some of her songs into the list. This had to stop so I logged my Spotify out of the accounts and set up a profile for everyone. Now we are all happy with our own accounts with the exception of the 5 year old boy who has a penchant for Queen especially Another one bites the Dust.
Top 5
To be honest I quite like that song so I am proud of a Queen song being on the most listened. Now he does also like his dance music and he has a thing for Avicii ( Lord to mercy on him) . I actually watched the Avicii documentary on a streaming site recently and it was excellent so I don't mind the DJ being in my top 5 either. When Avicii launched his album at a Miami Dance festival and he had a load of country singers come out and sing on stage , the crowd thought it was some kind of bad joke and it went down like a lead balloon. But Avicii know what he was doing and his album went number 1 in about 50 countries the week after and Hey Brother was one of his hits. Great storyy. I can see them all in Miami stopping dancing when so lad in a stetson walked out and it always makes me laugh.
But I have to say I was surprised an old rap song made it in but in fairness its probably the best ever rap song so I'm quite OK with that too. Teardrop by the Womacks is a favourite of mine and I have always liked Linda Womack's look. She s probably the coolect looking human on the planet even now. Look at her here.

The Don't Leave me This Way is an interesting one. Santy got the little one a keyboard for Christmas and we both love the little piano solo in the song so we decided to learn that on the keyboard so I had to play it over and over. Not a bad song though.
Podcast Fiend
I do listen to many many football podcasts. An embarrassing amount. I find them as a comfort and also I do not mind doing house chores when the headphones are in so I listen to hours and hours of them . In work I put some on if I am doing something regarding maintenance. I just can't get enough of them. My top 5 are below
Top Artists
This is probably true for the top 3. I put on Fontaine DC for high tempo runs at around 13kmph. try listening to their first album Dogrel while running to the beat. It's the best running album I know because it's just bangers and drums. I have never put Sam Fender on in my life so I don't know how he slipped in but he's not bad. And Oasis are there because we went to see them in Dublin this year.
Top Album
This is correct. I have a thing about Rubber Soul. I love that album and I also love Fleetwood Macs rumours and Coldplays Parachutes on a Sunday morning so they are correct. Kingfishr are an upcoming Irish band who many of us like so yeah its good to see a local Limerick band get into my list and if any of you want some nice Irish music then you can't get much better than this
So this is it for my Spotify wrapped this year. A strange one but music is subjective. I don't slag you about your shit jazz!
