I remember I was feeling really bummed out at the time I recorded this,in November 2016. Thankfully with art and music I can express that in a creative way. I wanted this one to sound like a deep soulful sadness - but in the sadness, a recognition that it would pass and lead to a release. Sometimes sadness can be beautiful because letting it out makes room for new happiness. You can't have rainbows without rain! I hope you dig it :)
