It's a singer-songwriter from the uk, who's last 2 albums had some great, moving guitar-driven folky/rock songs. A serious artist possibly never set to be hugely catchy-mainstream, but has managed to become a big name nonetheless. This is Ben Howard.
He grew up as a surfer in the South West (Devon) coastal areas and his music varies from dark, powerful introspection to more upbeat, nature-celebrating stuff. Clearly influenced by water and natural rhythms and inspirations, it's going to be interesting what this next album brings.

[Ben talks about the album here]
The only track so far I've heard is experimental and quite difficult to get into 'A Boat to an Island on the Wall'. He seems to want to move more into electrical 'patchwork quilts' and further from the quieter, more focused fingerstyle folk-songs. However, the title of the new album suggests it may not all be so dark... We'll find out in June.
I once had a go at making a long, meandering track inspired by s. west england.
Still checkable-outable and called 'estuary', because there are some amazing tidal estuaries hidden away there (although less hidden these days) where clouds move fast and light and weather changes quickly.
Stay tuned!
