"Planetarium" was written by Geoff Byrd, John Oates & Jed Leiber and this video is a tribute to the late T Bone Wolk 1951-2010 who played piano on this live recording from the Beacon Theater in NYC. T Bone was one of the best musicians and people I've ever met.
Never been released or otherwise recorded. This is the only place you can hear it. I just found this song in a pile of recordings that I didn't even know I had. This was one of the 50 shows where I performed as the opening act for the Hall and Oates World Tour in 2006. T Bone was a friend of mine and probably the best musician I ever played with. Rest in Peace Brother! We haven't forgotten you my man. T Bone Wolk 1951-2010
T Bone Wolk and Jeff Catania played in the Hall and Oates band. I was opening for Hall and Oates solo, just me and my acoustic guitar. But literally EVER single show, T Bone and Jeff volunteered to play with me in the opening set. I never even asked, they just said they wanted to do it which I took as a HUGE compliment and an incredibly kind offer. I said yes, we rehearsed it once and then played it every show like that for the rest of the tour. It was extra work for them, and they didn't have to do it, but that's the kind of guys they were. T Bone passed away in 2010 and this is my tribute to him. Thank you guys... and T, we miss you man, always.
Geoff Byrd: Vocals
T Bone Wolk: Piano
