Parni Valjak is a Croatian and former Yugoslav rock band. They were one of the top acts of the former Yugoslav rock scene, they later commercialized their style quite a bit. It was founded 1975 in Zagreb by dissociating the Group 220.
The first lineup consisted of Husein Hasanefendić "Hus" (guitar), Aki Rahimovski (vocals), Srećko Antonioli (drums), Zlatko Misic "Fuma" (bass guitar) and Jurica Pađen (guitar). The first two albums didn't stand out too much. In 1978. Jurica Pađen left band and founded "Aerodrome". After that Ivan "Piko" Stančić (drums) and ex "Prljavo Kazalište" guitarist Zoran Cvetković "Zok" are join to group. In the same year, they published the third album titled "Gradske priče". This record have more punk sound and brings single "Stranica Dnevnika / Ulične Tuče".
Following the success of this album, they also released the English version of the album called "City Kids", but this LP did not get much success, and is very rare today.
