Album: Sacrament
Artist: Lamb of God
Release Date: August 22, 2006
If I had to describe this album in one word, it would be: tight. Simply put, the band's performance on this recording is nothing short of exemplary. The drumming is very succinct and fits the tone and style of the album. Additionally, the guitar parts seem very memorable and unique. For example, the opening riff in "Pathetic" is certainly very unique and not something you would typically hear on a metal album. However, some riffs can also seem very generic and chuggy/syncopated. I also want to praise the lead guitar work as well. The solos on this album exist to serve the song; there's not just meaningless shredding on every song. However, there's more leads than Lamb of God's previous album, Ashes of the Wake, which I am a fan of.
