Just a few seconds into a David Dondero track and you can understand why was named in 2006 by NPR as one of the "best living songwriters". He's been dishing out quality music for over 20 years, and has really evolved into a unique brand of Southern Folk. His album South Of The South is truly a gem that doesn't get the attention it deserves. His intoxicating lyrics will take you on a journey through the Carolina's and in to the heart of the American South. Your breath will still smell like moonshine in the morning. David has 11 solo albums dating back to 1999, so you have a lot of listening to do. He is still very active today so check out his albums, and look out for him on tour!

Carolina Moon
"Lightning struck the fire from the tree
It will never burn and the blossom won't be free"
This Guitar
"This guitar haunts me from the case
I swear I put it back in its case
But then it sweet talks it's way back into my life
But every god damn time I gotta pay the price
Just to play, just to play
Till i slip away"
I've Seen The love
"have you lost your passion well, here take some of mine
you can use my skeleton but don't drink all my wine
you have sung
you sung your voice away
no one listened"
