Welcome to my House Music Track of the Day series! Every day I will post a different house track, new or old, that's really got me feeling the groove. Serving you classic, old-school vibes, 90's/2000's primarily, with an emphasis on Deep House, but could be a little bit of everything.
If you follow me you know I do a weekly college radio house music show so I've spent the last two years finding the best of the best - I have a fantastic back catalogue of sickening tracks to share with you all!
Day two I’ve got an absolutely sick track that was my best track of 2017 and is truly a straight up banger. None other than Theo Walbeck - Someone 2night
This one is on Local Talk, a legendary deep house label and one of my absolute favorites. I would love to work for them some day. Theo Walbeck has only a few credits to his name, but his alias HADE has more and he tours Europe and the US regularly. I hope he comes through with some more tracks along the same vein as this one!
I couldn’t tell you where I first heard this infectious bassline and that acid-y synth, but I was snatched from day one. The 90’s vocal is something straight outta Sound Factory in New York City circa 1993. The bass is deep and the bounce would get an 80 year old 5th term Republican senator on the floor shaking it like a club kid.
When I tell you it will be a golden moment when I pull this out in a club and that bass starts thumping, it’s gonna have the crowd going apeshit.
Thanks so much for listening and please let me know what you think of the track! Plus of course, if you have any suggestions I love finding new music and I might even pick your track for another #trackoftheday ! THANK YOU!
