Welcome to my House Music Track of the Day series! Every day I will post a different house track, new or old, that's really got me feeling the groove. Serving you classic, old-school vibes, 90's/2000's primarily, with an emphasis on Deep House, but could be a little bit of everything.
If you follow me you know I do a weekly college radio house music show so I've spent the last two years finding the best of the best - I have a fantastic back catalogue of sickening tracks to share with you all!
Sorry I'm a couple behind, the middle of the week is when I'm busiest with school!
I included the original version of this track I first heard in an episode of How To Get Away With Murder in my set this past weekend. This is an incredible remix that doesn't have the tempo of the original but it's really something special. The Presets - No Fun (Lancelot Remix)!
This is ecstasy on a stick, but with a perfect upfront deep bass synth giving it a dash of deep house. This is like the best of both worlds, it has some of the progressive and electro elements of the original but with a deep twist. The quick high-pitched guitar sample ala "Music Sounds Better With You" is such a staple of the late 90's and gives this a retro edge, but I think it could still bounce in any club today.
I love a remix that creates a completely different vibe and still manages to top or come close to the original. Hope you guys enjoy!
Close your eyes and just imagine yourself in a big club with the air blowing in your face and the crowd tripping together!
Thanks so much for listening and please let me know what you think of the track! Plus of course, if you have any suggestions I love finding new music and I might even pick your track for another #trackoftheday ! THANK YOU!
