Here's my rendition of the Shins Phantomb Limb off their album Wincing the night away.
I was never a huge Shins fan, I like them but never really had any of their albums.
But this song followed me around for years, any time I heard it on the radio my ears would prick up.
Songwriter and lead singer James Mercer described it as "a hypothetical, fictional account of a young, lesbian couple in high school dealing with the shitty small town they live in."
