Here is part II in the Dark Strings series I did! It was written around a little Japanese scale progression, although it definitely deviates from that and goes into some really cool, dissonant parts. There is a key change (sort of) but the riff corrects itself and feels like it just temporarily moved keys, rather than a full modulation. I really like these two pieces, and would like to go back and re-record them and add some bass, keys, and maybe some orchestral strings. I will post the third and fourth parts when I actually get around to recording them!
