I believe I mentioned a few days ago
that I had recently purchased the Elektron Digitone FM Synth/Sequencer, as it was on sale on Black Friday and I decided that I shouldn't pass up that discount, as I've wanted to get either the Digitone or Digitakt for a long time. I have the Model:Cycles, which is a lot of fun, and of course will keep using it, but it is limited in a lot of ways, many of which are available on the Digitone. Having using an Elektron device previously actually has helped quite a bit; the Digitone is definitely different, and has a LOT more stuff to get in depth with, but the basic workflow, pattern set up, and general sequencer use is similar to the Cycles, so it's been nice not having to learn it from scratch. This idea (filmed and recorded) isn't particularly long, barely a minute, but I figured it would be a good thing to share, since it's my first attempt at doing anything 'song'-like on it. I only used preset sounds here (of which there are a ton of awesome ones), which I did tweak a bit with effects, filters, etc. The actual synthesis/sound design stuff is much more in depth, so I'm slowly learning that, watching videos, reading guides and such. I realized with this idea that there was some voice stealing going on (8 voices total), however, after recording this, I watched some videos on those voice stealing/voice usage options, and definitely will be able to fix a lot of that in future ideas. There is SO much that is possible with this device, so it's going to take me a while to really master it, but I'll share the journey here for sure!
