This song came about while
I was exploring sounds in the ROLI synth library, which was included with the Seaboard I purchased a few weeks back. One of the two main instruments that provide our chords is a bansuri flute thing, and the other an organ, which both have a bit of a synthesized sound, which I like, as I wasn't going for a world music/realistic sort of thing. I added some drums which (ironically) come from the 'world' section of the NI Komplete Start package, and the shakuhachi from the same kit.

In the first group, we have the two
aforementioned ROLI instruments, which play the chords pictured below, divided into two parts (Green and Pink). The third track in that group plays what is in the second screenshot below, using a sort of plucky/bell like synth. The second group is made up of a synth and the shakuhachi, which only play over the Pink section. The shakuhachi using 1/4 note tuning, which is only evident on a couple of notes, as they're ever so slightly out of tune, which adds a nice Chorus/out-of-phase sort of effect. Track 8 is the hand drums, from NI's world group, and Track 9 an upright bass, which wound up being a bit quiet, though I think that turned out to be pretty cool.

Tracks 10 and 11 are just used
to accent the first beat of certain parts, and use audio clips from some Cymatics libraries. These are totally free, and though I don't use them all the time, they are definitely effective 'impacts'. Finally, we have Track 12, which adds some little cymbals and bell sounds. These wound up being a little too loud, so I think in a later version of this, I'll drop those down in volume (or maybe velocity) to have things be a bit more even.
