This is the result of another
timed challenge! I alotted myself 30 minutes this time, though, once again, I think I spent a little too much time on really specific, little things, which is a habit I need to try and break myself of for future challenges, hehe. After the time had elapsed, I grouped the instruments/sounds, with the Synths in Group 1, the Drums in Group 2, the bass synth on its own, and finally, a bunch of little sounds/transitional audio clips in Group 3. The synths essentially all use the same progression, so it was a bit of copy pasta, but they all have a different timbre, and Track 2 an arpeggiator effect.
Listen to PrtPls here.
There are two parts to the tune,
the A section in Purple, and B section in Orange. The A section is in Amajor, though there are some substitutions throughout which keep things a bit more interesting. We resolve to an F#major at a few spots, which is a really nice change. The B section plays a 4 chord riff 2x, starting on Bmin, to C#min, then Bdim, to Faug, before repeating. The bass in Track 9 is probably my favorite thing here, though the glissando/portamento effect causes it to get a bit too quiet, so I think if I edit this in the future, I'll make each note stand out on its own. The bulk of the drums use the CR-78 from Native Instruments, which has a great sound.
