Here's another random idea, which
I think is a bit more of a 'song' than yesterday's, and definitely is something I'll play around with, and see where it goes. It's basically just two parts, A and B, in Blue and Purple in Track 2 (just so you can see where they change). The A part essentially just sticks to an Ebmin chord, while the B part moves from B to Abmin, before returning to the top. I sort of just picked instruments at random, scrolling through the various packs trying to find some interesting sounds. Initially (and still for the first 2 repetitions) the A part is filled up more, and the B part a lot more empty. However, at the end, all the instruments continue through both parts; I think if there was some more variation early on, this build up at the end could be a lot more interesting. I didn't do much of anything with the drums here, it's just two kits, with a super basic beat. The snare was actually why I picked the initial kit, it's really reverby and distant sounding, but gets a little lost with all the other stuff happening, so I'd need to fix that, cause it was the impetus for the whole idea, hehe.
