Born on September 16, 1925 in Mississippi Died on May 14, 2015 in Nevada. One of the "Three Kings of the Blues Guitar" (with Albert King and Freddie King). Some accounts say He Bought his first guitar at age 12 for $15. Others say he was given his first guitar by his mother's first cousin. Inducted to the rock and roll hall of fame in 1987.
