"Unforgetting You" written by Jeff Ross (performed by Jeff & Jessie Ross) - this song is an original song, written and dedicated to all those suffering from- or know someone suffering from- Alzheimers Disease or Dementia.
I wrote this song several years ago. A co-worker of mine had a mother who was suffering from Alzheimer's disease and was constantly taking time off work to fly back and forth out of state. I took it as inspiration to write a song from a patient's point of view. It's a story of someone who can't remember who keeps visiting him, but still knows there's a connection there. Shortly after the song was recorded, her mother passed away.
This video was taken during an interview on NWCZ Radio - promoting my new album in 2014 at the time. The album itself features rich harmonies, nylon-string guitar and ukulele. This radio performance is a very stripped down version, reworked after I had heard that she passed away. Slowed down slightly, it fit the mood of the song.
