I've typically, historically, been what I would call an experimental or noise musician. My first band was a fairly standard three-piece . . . guitar, bass, and drums . . . but even then, we spent most of our time improvising and experimenting with weird sounds. I went further down the experimental rabbit hole after our drummer quit, and that's more-or-less when I became consumed with making noise. But I've always wanted to explore music more properly, and embrace the theory and more standard sounds and instrumentation, and the way those things impact mood and thought. I've certainly never stopped enjoying listening to more traditional music. Well, for the first time in a very long time, I've recorded something that involves a simple melody on an acoustic guitar, and something approaching a rhythm/drum beat. It's certainly still loose, spacey, ambient, and those kinds of things. But for me, it's certainly exploring new territory in my creative life. Hope you all enjoy it, and thank you for reading.
