Since I was a kid I liked progressive rock, heavy metal, classic rock, blues and funk. I could not finish listing the great bands and soloists who have made quality music that has transcended time.
I will name some that are my inspiration to this day: Led Zeppelin, Rush, Yes, Pink Floyd, ELP, Deep Purple, Eric Clapton, B. B. King, Muddy Waters, The Doors, Earth, Wind & Fire, Fleetwood Mac, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, etc... And most recently: Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Jamiroquai, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Joe Bonamassa, Headspace, Haken, Symphony X, etc...
Actually, I am a music lover, there are very few genres that I do not like, among them are tropical rhythms such as salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaeton, tecnocumbia and pop music conceived as a way to make money, but not art (which abounds in the media)...
This time, I want to introduce you (if you do not know it) to a band called Earthside, which combines progressive heavy metal with classical music to create masterpieces filled with both power and emotion. Listen on Spotify or watch in YouTube.
