I started practicing a simple version of a song, He's a pirate which only uses open strings and 2,3 5. I kind of built off that and started improvising within those notes because I am a bit bored of practicing techniques, it's definitely more fun to attempt a song!
I think it is a good practice to film myself because when I listen back I can hear where I am having the most trouble. Aside from not hitting a few notes properly I have noticed I have the most blips when switching from string to string cleanly with the bow. I think my mind anticipates it and I overthink it.
