What an audio feast! If you've ever wondered how a virtual Neo Tokyo would sound like in the year 2084, this is probably it. There's never a shortage of punchy drums, soothing synths, midi-jazzlines, prog-rockery, atmospheric wizardry, and glitchy playfulness in here. It's both avant-garde and upbeat. This is what it sounds like if Warhol is into making electronic music.
Vektroid's Seed & Synthetic Earth is a delightful amalgamation of familiar 80s JRPG soundtracks, feisty trapparatious beats, and neo-classical Vaporwave. Step into hyperspace. Get lost in cyberspace. Explore the vast marble-tiled plazas of a post-capitalist utopian society. Wear a courageous smile. Sport a fisherman's hat. Because the future is just too bright, too breezy. Feel like a punk surfing your way into infinite worlds, the place where all the cool kids have gone missing. Truly a one-of-a-kind album worth experiencing. It's almost like homecoming.
11/10 will consider having the album on loop at the deck of my Trans-Atlantic speedcruiser for an eternity. There are nine tracks on the album, and my top pick at the moment is Blood From A Stone. It's still fresh off the oven as it was only released back in November 10, 2017.
