What'sup Steemit people!
The name's Kodaz and I have been into music my entire life, from elementary school carrying my Walkman to now just listening to any music I consider good.
That being said, this page is gonna be a deep dive into my playlist and into music that I consider good. Not everyone may share the same opinions as me and that's fine and I like to keep an extremely open mind to others opinions.
Many of these songs will be songs that have influenced me one way or another in my life and will not be genre specific at all. One day it may be hip hop the next day a country song but just know you will only be getting quality music on this page.
Enough talking let's get into the first song.
First song: Immortal Technique- Point of No Return
The reason I chose this song first is pretty simple, this is the first song my older cousin showed me that opened up my musical interest and broke free from the every day pop radio music with a small mix of early slim shady I was listening to at the time. It also was the first song that I actually had to look up information to understand what he was saying. I was in the 7th grade at the time, I believe that's like 12 or 13 or something like that. During this time, I was getting bullied a lot and music was my only escape. Learning about music like this talking about real issues in the world and what people are going through pushed me forward to venture into the music I listen to today and really helped me process what was going on and understand that not everyone in the world is going to tell you the truth and not everyone in the world is here to help you. People will take advantage of you but there are few people in the world you can trust. Music like this taught me a lot of life lessons that people are afraid to talk about and I definately wasn't gonna get it from the household I was living in. Well, as my first post, I wanted to choose something meaningful and I hope you guys enjoy and further songs will be out in the future.
For now, I will try for 1 post a day due to time constraints but will keep them coming if I have time.
Have a great day you guys.
