Welcome in the Rap Playlist #5. I'm going to talk about the new wave of Hip Hop artists and the use of Rock samples in their songs.
Rock is now a big part of the new wave influence. Samples, clothes, theme songs of Rock and Hip hop cultures have merged.
And it's beautiful.
#1 LIL PEEP - SAVE THAT SHIT
A very good example of the influence of rock on the new wave. I'm not a fan of Lil Peep but this song is so powerful.
It reminds me some Linkin Park songs. Melancholic guitar, emotional lyrics. You have to listen to it at least once.

Very sad and melancholic song of this very young artist. Again the sample is obviously from a rock song but it merged perfectly with the hip hop beat which gives an interesting result.
ITSOKTOCRY - I'VE SEEN SATAN, HE HAS DREADLOCKS
!!! BEWARE !!! This is another example of Rock influence in Hip hop but this time its HARD ROCK + TRAP so it might be an ear rape for a lot of people but I like that kind of fusion ;-) I've warned you...
