Comparing this black & white vid with Blondie’s original, one could easily mistake this retro rockabilly version for the 1980 original. And Emanuela Hutter’s vocals sound as robust and dynamic as Deborah Harry’s in the original.

Debby Harry wrote this song for Giorgio Moroder’s soundtrack to the film “American Gigolo.”

While The Hillbilly Moon Explosion’s style is often defined as “rockabilly,” its music ranges from rock’n’roll and country to jump blues and swing, and even as far as surf music.

Pure and Honest

The band has performed throughout Europe, as well as the UK and the US. In 2010, the band opened for rock icon Jeff Beck in Paris.
