Magic Comet Ride

In fact, two of the members had played psychedelic music together as a synth ‘n’ drums duo. The addition of a saxophonist added a whole new dimension to their sound. The Comet is Coming

Synthesizer player Dan Leavers and drummer Max Hallett (known respectively as “Danalogue the Conqueror” and “Betamax” ) had been playing as a synth-drums duo, when they noticed a regular attendee at their shows.

One day, this mystery guest showed up with a saxophone in hand, and he joined them on stage. Something clicked, resulting in “an explosive shockwave of energy.” A few weeks after surviving that “shockwave,” the newly formed trio was recording an album together.
