Here I am, again, recommending some music for you to hopefully enjoy.
Today I've chosen the unique Christian Scott with my favourite song of his, called "Littany against Fear".
There are many unique things about Christian Scott, one of them is that he builds his own trumpets, that might call your attention when watching him perform live, because in some cases you don't really know what he is holding on his hands!
I was fortunate enough to see him perform live in NY in a festival and it was a blast. Not only for the music they played, but also for the charisma he has on stage.
You would see him yelling at the drummer in the middle of his solo to encourage him, you would see him trying to rise the music the band was playing by standing almost face-to-face with the soloist in place and asking for "more".
It was truly special, you don't get to see someone with such a determination on stage that often, and believe it or not, it even encouraged the audience to feel what was going on in a differente, more intense way.
He is a long-note trumpet player mostly, so he relies on the rhythmic base to be more active during solos and even melodies.
