A great year in Rock Music
1981 had some great rock songs and albums. One of the best years following my personal taste. The year was when the typical 80ies glamour kicked into gear. Prince Charles and Lady Diana married, MTV launched. In general music and technology are changing in a fast pace. Darker moments in the year been the first recognized cases of AIDS and Pope John Paul II being shot.
The Top 10 summer songs of the year in the following:
- "Jessie's Girl" – Rick Springfield
- "Bette Davis Eyes" – Kim Carnes
- "Endless Love" – Diana Ross & Lionel Richie
- "Theme From “Greatest American Hero” (Believe It Or Not)” – Joey Scarbury
- "Slow Hand" – The Pointer Sisters
- "The One Tha You Love” – Air Supply
- "I Don’t Need You” – Kenny Rogers
- "Elvira" – The Oak Ridge Boys
- "Queen Of Hearts" – Juice Newton
- "All Those Years Ago" – George Harrison
