A 3D Week
My feet really haven't touched the ground this week. For the first time in what feels like years, I've been out every evening from Sunday to even tonight (Thursday). It's only because my body said I was a 70 year old trapped in a 32 year old's body that I had to call it an early night from the work's Christmas Party and get to write this mildly entertaining and profoundly thought provoking blog
Cue banterous laughter
To summarise:
Sunday - 6 mile walk & lunch with old school friends during the day. Curry in West London with the village lads by night.
Monday - Quiz night after work with the brother where we made a series of hilarious howlers with our answers and ended up finishing joint last... by a long way!
Tuesday - 2.5 hours of intense badminton from 20:30-23:00 with no real rest in between sets as 4 of us competed in the most fierce matches in an attempt to get our hands on the prize... a box of Quality Street chocolates. I got trounced both on the court and have felt the muscle soreness ever since!
Wednesday - Our Service/Technical Support departmental Christmas "Session" with a curry at lunch time and a curry in the evening, along with a few cheeky non-alcoholic beers (maybe a couple of alcoholic ones in there too... definitely haha)! Safe to say, a bit of "trouble" the next morning...
Thursday - A Christmas meal at work followed by a little gathering at the local pub afterwards. Definitely was a little tipsy at lunch time with a few colleagues... glad it was a bit quiet on the phones haha! Managed to sober up in time for pilates AND get my vote in for this election that's happening in the UK... Who knows what may happen?!
(At time of writing, the results are about to be counted... we'll see what happens in the morning - hang in there UK friends!)
Uncertainty
So it therefore felt really appropriate to upload this exceptionally Trance heavy liquid drum & bass track I made called "Uncertainty". Although a very personal one for me when I reached the cross roads at the end of my PhD in 2014, it seems we're at a massive cross roads not just with the UK, Brexit and all this election crap but on a global scale too.
Not knowing what's going to happen next can be quite exciting though. I guess it depends on the individual but dwelling on something, especially if you can't control that thing, is a waste of energy and time. Better use it to plan something productive and awesome hey
Enjoy the track
