My name is Niels Jadu and I’m a singer, producer and lyricist. I’ve loved music for all the 26 years I’ve lived, but I started creating my own since I was 13 (I’m leaving out the fact that my 6-years old twin-sister and I made up anthems (including choreography) for every individual plushy we owned). From what started with remixing existing songs just for the fun of it, grew out to making my own music that I would love to share with the world.
I quit writing for about 3 years because of my study, but last year I picked it up again and started doing something new: singing. Currently I’m working on a lot of new music and my first song came out on YouTube and all main music streaming services this month.
Music genres evolve constantly and tend to overlap with other genres as they do so. I believe that this is exactly how my music came to be, too; my music is a representation of things that inspire me, coming from different music genres, countries and time periods. I would describe my music as dreamy and mellow, yet it often has a melancholic undertone.
My first song is called ‘Technicolor and Pastel’, and it’s of course sung, produced and written by me. Please check it out and let me know what you think!
