Several days ago, I was to a concert of the band Algiers. They are ones my “new” favorite artists. This band creates a nice and different kind of music that represents the rareness and the difficulty for most of the contemporary artists. On stage, the musicians had all the necessary instruments to perform their music: keyboards, bass, guitar and drums, but most of the sounds were on type… Call it playback if you like! Only the front man of the band – Franklin James Fisher showed us that he is a real musician and he played live all his parts. The rest of the guys provoked my disappointment. It is a question of self-respect and respect to the fans to be able to perform live your own music.
