In the week someone sent me a song which is old but I happen to actually know only the cover by Anberlin. Turns out the one by When in Rome is the original but I would say I prefer the cover.
You decide:
Original When in Rome - The Promise
Cover by Anberlin
That reminded me of another song which I played about 5 times a bit louder so I don't hear customers too well and can just nod my head.
I like the movie Across the Universe and one of my favourite songs in their OST is Mr. Kite or whatnot.
Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite
Then for once Mr. Kites voice sounded super familiar and thanx to youtube it was a quick solution because it also happens that Mr Kite is a pretty great classic comedian.
Eddie Izzard
I don't know his new things so much, as with anything the stuff pop in and out of my radar. Kind of how it took me years after the fact to watch more Ricky Gervais. All in good time.
I do remember watching his Dress to Kill show though and based on that I think I have seen most of his old stuff, Dress to Kill is just the one I recall the most.
Still it is like one of those oh shit I did not know he also sings. Kinda like how Doctor House has an entire bloody Jazz album.
Hugh Laurie - Saint James Infirmary
His whole album is really good, not sure if he will make more but it also does not really matter. In time people come and they go. Only as useful as their use and really what is the point trying to stick around beyond that.
So in closing, it is Sunday so let's chillax with some inspiration for the rest of the week.
