A lot of people who hear afrotrap for the first time think it is easy. Easy to produce.
They think that because of the repetitive melodies and simple chordprogressions. But it isn't so much about the melodies and chordprogressions. Of course they are important and need te be catchy. But there more in the background.
The focus is on the drums and rap. And there is a lot happening in the drums. That all need to go perfectly together. So it's just a different focus than a lot of people are used to.
