After 10 long years of waiting for Tool to play in the UK again, I finally got my chance to watch my favourite band live.
My friend and I managed to bag an amazing spot near the front.
We had to endure Smashing Pumpkins for this (they were alright), and it was totally worth it. We've never been so near the front at a festival.
Tool fans are the best. Some amazing conversations went down while we waited and bonded over what was about to go down.
After waiting for an hr, it all began.
Our spot was perfect. There was an amazing mosh pit right where we were. I risked my phone to take some amazing footage. I've shared some on my Twitter. And will share some more on my Instagram soon.
This was hands down, the best live performance I have ever experienced. Even though they didn't play my favourite song, it was an immense immense experience. Musically they are insane. The crowd and the vibe was so incredible. People were hugging and connecting together and with the music. The mosh pit was intense. The whole experience was so amazing and profound, that my friend and I are still processing and coming down from it 3 days later.
This picture of my friend after it was all done, says a lot.
I have a lot more I need to share about this experience, and that's all coming soon.
I hope this won't be my only live Tool experience.
