Jung Nan Yi (정난이) - 내 마음은 언제나 (1980)
Welcome Steemians!
For the first episode of Melonious Thonk, I bring you a couple selections of South Korean Funk from the late 70s/early 80s. This episode is a tribute to two things that are important to me.
Firstly, everyone is a product of natural selection. Unfortunately, I don't know too much information about my ancestry chart. What I know is that my grandfather escaped from North Korea. With his educational background in chemical engineering, he hustled by producing and selling various products from cosmetic products to gum, and shoes to wallpaper. I encourage everyone to explore your genealogical tree. If you already know something, please share in the comments section something about your earliest ancestors.
Secondly, in 2000 I started producing music as a hobby. During this time I discovered 70s funk music initially. The strong rhythmic groove of a bass line had me hypnotized. I was determined to seek out all the diverse music throughout the world -- which I will be sharing with you eventually. Without further ado, enjoy!
Note: I apologize for the Korean text.
