Today, it was Good News
That sounds positive, right? It's the second Mac Miller song I've woken up with in my head lately. As I mentioned in the last one, I never really listened to him while he was alive or until his newest album Circles was announced. Good News is the first song I heard from the album and I thought it was pretty good from the first listen. That's probably why I ended up checking out the whole album, to be honest.
The song isn't quite as positive as one might assume by the title alone. It's not surprising that a lot of the songs on Circles are pretty dark considering that Mac Miller died as a result of an opiate overdose. Certainly, he was facing some pretty big demons.
The chorus of this song will likely get stuck in your head as well if you listen to it!
