A few months ago I made a little post about who has the most Grammy awards ever and we already know that it was Georg Solti, a Hungarian-British conductor with Chicago Symphony Orchestra who won the prize 31 times. But do you know which woman has the most Grammy awards? Well, here is a hint - it’s not Beyonce!
The lady with the highest number of the little gramophones is Alison Krauss. Exactly, I didn’t know that either. Alison is a bluegrass-country singer and musician from the USA and has won the award 27 times. This number ranks her to a second place overall and she is currently tied for it with Quincy Jones.
Although I have never listened to country music that much I discovered a piece that is quite interesting. You might know this one from the American movie O Brother, Where Art Thou where it was used as a soundtrack.
