A Night of Music, Performances and Blockchain
Last night our team was invited to present at an event hosted by LITTLSTAR their new blockchain project ARA and Einnovations. It was night packed with amazing performances by musicians of all kinds - everything from hip hop, spoken word, to a bit of guitar-itecture.
It's rare to have an event that hosts both extremely talented creators and emerging technology. Kudos to Einnovations for creating that bridge and opening up the conversation so that creatives can get empowered.

Testing Steem LIVE
A couple weeks back - Ei reached out to to plan a fun experiment. At the beginning of the night we used some Resource Credits to mint a new account for
- one of the musicians due to perform later that evening. He had a brand new audio track on hand and we helped him log in and upload it to dsound.audio!
- Within seconds, Forsyth had a Steem account.
- After a few minutes, he had published his first post on dsound.
- He performed to that same track live.
pulled up dsound on the main screen later in the night to show other artists how much he earned and what the community response was.
For most musicians, it can take thousands of listeners to earn cents. Now while Steem might not be the cleanest token-tool for music (upvotes don't always = listeners) it's an avenue that they can use to explore new sounds, gather feedback and collaborate with others.
Process is Valuable
Our presentation was about the value of creative process. There are so many stories hiding behind that final track or album that audiences crave - and that creators sometimes care the most about. Last night was all about performing, experiencing and learning. It's hard to document that on a polished portfolio site like instagram or soundcloud. This is where the tokenizing of experiences and moments can be so empowering / fill a void for artists that is desperately needed.
We're excited to be collaborating more with the team at Ei and building awareness and use-cases for crypto in the creative world. This is probably our last workshop of the year - but stay tuned for an action packed 2019!
Last note: A big shout out to Erick and his team BEN - who attended the event. They are the Blockchain Education Network. Make sure to stop by their page and say hello!
